NN4Y National Summit on Youth Homelessness Call for Speakers
THE CALL FOR SPEAKERS HAS CLOSED AS OF SEPTEMBER 23, 2022
The National Summit on Youth Homelessness + Hill Day will take place March 2-3, 2023, in Washington, DC.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: September 23, 2022
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE: October 30, 2022
To be considered, workshop presentations must:
- Align with one or more of our conference topics
- Be interactive, thought-provoking, and action-oriented
- Be conducted with no more than three presenters.
Topics to be considered include:
- Racial Equity
- Access to Higher Education + Support
- LGBTQ Youth Experiencing Homelessness
- The Intersectionality of Youth Homelessness
- Partnering with Youth with Lived Experience
- Advocacy/Coalition Building
- Working with Policymakers
- Prevention and Intervention for Youth at Risk
- Trauma-informed Practices
- Innovative Programs
- Rights-based Framework
- Program Evaluation
- Rest and Self Care
- Addressing Healthcare or Mental Health Services for Youth
- Human Trafficking
Speaker Responsibilities:
- All workshop presenters are responsible for travel expenses, including transportation and hotel accommodations. Do not submit a proposal if you cannot accept responsibility for travel-related expenses.
- All main presenters are given a discounted registration rate of $250. We are unable to make exceptions for any co-presenter(s), Guest speaker(s), panel member(s), or invitees, even if they are only facilitating the workshop that day.
- Presentation is not used to market products or services and is free from commercial bias.
Review and Selection Process
The process of accepting workshops is selective. There are a limited number of slots available, and the final decision is at the discretion of NN4Y.
