Washington D.C. is a unique blend of history, power, and activism, and the perfect place to host our Summit on Youth Homelessness + Hill Day. At the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, you will connect with service providers, policymakers, and youth with lived expertise of homelessness, and other passionate advocates all around the country to end youth homelessness.

This hotel is within walking distance of major attractions like the U.S. Capitol, the National Mall, and the Smithsonian Museums. And on the second day of Summit, many of us will be making that short walk to Congress to meet with Members of Congress about ending youth homelessness.

Please note that conference registration does not include hotel or travel costs. Please be sure to register for the conference before making any hotel or flight reservations!

If you are driving to the hotel, valet parking is available. Please note that the parking garage clearance is six feet. Van and RV parking is available nearby at Union Station:

  • 0–2 hours: $28
  • 2–10 hours: $40
  • 10–24 hours: $57 ($60 for oversize vehicles)
  • Overnight: $57

Traveling in DC

For those coming from out of town, you can arrive by plane or train. Once in DC, you can use the DC Metro to travel to the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill by bus or Metro (Union Station on the Red line).

Metro:

  1. Go to the Metrorail station and take the Blue line from the airport towards Largo or New Carrollton.
  2. Transfer to the Red line at Metro Center going towards Glenmont.
  3. Get off at Union Station.
  4. From Union Station, it is about a 10-minute walk (0.4 miles) to the hotel.

Taxi/Rideshare:

  • A taxi or rideshare ride takes approximately 10-20 minutes, depending on traffic.

Metro:

  1. Take the Silver Line Express Bus from the airport to the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station.
  2. Transfer to the Red line at Metro Center going towards Glenmont.
  3. Get off at Union Station.
  4. From Union Station, it is about a 10-minute walk (0.4 miles) to the hotel.

Taxi/Rideshare:

  • A taxi or rideshare ride takes approximately 40-60 minutes, depending on traffic.

Train (Amtrak or MARC):

  1. Take an Amtrak or MARC train to Union Station in Washington, D.C. The ride takes around 30-40 minutes.
  2. From Union Station, it’s a short 10-minute walk (0.4 miles) to the hotel.

Taxi/Rideshare:

A direct taxi or rideshare ride takes around 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
