Deadline: April 30th, 2021
It is April and Capitol Hill is already working on the federal government’s Fiscal Year 2022 budget. We need your help to make sure that your organizations and the programs you support get the funding necessary to continue providing services to prevent and respond to all forms of homelessness experienced by children, youth, and families.
One way that Senators build consensus and make funding decisions is by circulating “Dear Colleague” letters, asking other Senators to support specific federal program funding.
The letter we are sharing with you focuses on funding for the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act (RHYA) and the McKinney-Vento Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY). The goal is simple – the more lawmakers that support these vital programs by signing onto the letter, the better chance we have of getting the funding that is desperately needed.
