The National Network for Youth joined Path to Progress, Rise, Generation Ratify, Gen-Z for Change, Sunrise Movement, and Voters of Tomorrow to release a statement in response to some of the Supreme Court’s recent decisions. We are particularly concerned about the impact the court’s decisions may have on youth- particularly youth of color and LGBTQ+ youth.
“The Court’s insistence in Biden v. Nebraska that President Biden and Secretary of Education Cardona lack the legal authority to forgive student debt is simply untrue… Millennials were the first generation to live with a greater sense of economic precarity than their parents. Generation Z and Generation Alpha are already not far behind.”
