Now more than ever, our young people need our attention. The coronavirus outbreak has created even more barriers to their survival, yet they have been largely left out of our national response. The majority of policies and programs that youth and young adults at-risk of and experiencing homelessness encounter were not written with their unique developmental stage and needs in mind. They were written for adults or children and without understanding the significant legal, financial, and developmental challenges they face daily.
