Benjamin Saldana is the Intensive Case Manager for the HIV Department of GBAPP Inc. (Greater Bridgeport Area Prevention Program) this program is designed to provide a continuum of care for marginalized women, men, and adolescents living with HIV/AIDS. He works diligently to seek out vulnerable populations of people in the community and offers them a variety of services such as HIV/AIDS testing, counseling, treatment, primary health care, mental health services, substance abuse treatment, and case management. Ben has also spearheaded several projects and initiatives to educate corporate professionals on the LGBTQ+ Community.
Ben has been a proud member and mentor of the National Youth Advisory Council for NN4Y for the last 5 years. He has been asked to speak on several panels, and educate professionals, community members, and policymakers on Youth Homelessness. Ben has also consulted with agencies on the development of successful Youth Advisory Boards and hiring youth with lived experiences. A testament to the fact that we can change our narratives and turn trauma in triumph. He continues to educate himself so that he can educate others, and is thankful to have joined the National Network for Youth as a Board Director. A new journey that will enable him to remain steadfast in this essential line of work.
