National Network for Youth’s Year In Review 2013

National Network for Youth’s Plans for 2014

  • The Network is partnering with a documentary that will be released in 2014, The Homestretch, which follows the lives of three homeless youth in Chicago. We are a national partner in the film’s two year transmedia campaign as the national advocacy expert on issues affecting America’s runaway and homeless youth.
  • In 2014, we will launch a National Youth Advisory Council comprised of formerly homeless youth. This council will advise the Network on policy recommendations and serve as youth advocates. Please begin thinking of potential candidates to nominate to join this council.
  • In March 2014, the Network will host a Homeless Youth Summit in Washington, DC. Members will be invited to attend a members-only breakfast, participate in Hill visits, network with other runaway and homeless youth service providers, and attend discussions with federal policymakers and federal agency staff. More details coming soon in 2014!!

Your expertise and partnership strengthens our voice and enables us to advocate for you and provide you with useful resources.
