National Network for Youth was honored to be chosen as the sole beneficiary of the first ever H.O.P.E. Inaugural Youth Ball. This event gave youth the opportunity to share in the inaugural festivities surrounding the swearing in of President-elect Barack Obama. This family-friendly evening of elegance and entertainment was held on Saturday, January 17, 2009 and was a great success.
“We are thrilled to not only be part of this historic week of events surrounding the new President, but to be singled out as the beneficiary for such a great event is quite an honor,” said National Network for Youth CEO, Victoria Wagner. “Particularly now– as we face unpredictable economic times– receiving a gift such as this helps us to continue our work serving the nearly 1 million homeless youth in this country.”
The H.O.P.E. Inaugural Youth Ball was created by a dynamic group of individuals from various parts of the country that joined together to create a memorable event for youth. They brought together talents and resources to present an evening that was elegant, fun and exciting for all in attendance.
National Network for Youth looks forward to many more partnerships with this innovative organization.
